Tom Shepherd to Lead American Chemistry Council (ACC) Small Business Council

Mr. Tom Shepherd began his role as the chairman of the Small Business Council within the American Chemistry Council (ACC) at the group's annual meeting held in Colorado Springs in June, 2009.  Having served on the board of the ACC since 2006, Mr. Shepherd decided to increase his contribution to the industry advocacy group through leadership of this important forum within the ACC.  Mr. Shepherd notes "While our industry faces an array of challenges in this environment, some issues are particularly sensitive to small and medium sized companies and must be highlighted appropriately. In addition to advocacy, this forum gives us a great opportunity to learn from each other."  Mr. Shepherd presided over the group's meeting at the ACC annual conference in Colorado Springs, covering a range of topics such as public outreach, benchmarking, Responsible CARE, and government funding opportunities.
