At Shepherd, our philosophy is to insure that our material that is sent to you is characterized to the greatest extent possible to allow you to fully understand its properties and behavior in your process. To that end, Shepherd Chemical has established a state of the art characterization laboratory in addition to our ISO Certified Quality Control Laboratories. Through Shepherd’s expertise in both of our analysis groups we have the knowledge and capability to provide your team with detailed characterization information and methodologies.
In addition we maintain agreements with local universities for additional analyses.

Activity Testing
As Part of our development work for your custom compounds Shepherd Chemical is able to conduct screening and activity tests. This step reduces the work and effort your R&D team is required to carry out as it will only receive pre-screened compounds which have a greater likelihood of meeting the development targets. Examples of screening Shepherd has performed for customers:
Cross linkers – Impact on Color Catalyst Materials – Activity Catalyst Materials - Solubility Polymer Additives – Polymer Properties Lubricant Additives – EP Performance Battery Materials – Electrochemical Performance
Please submit an inquiry to our R&D group with your requirements. We will evaluate the degree to which your compound of interest can be customized.
