Radial Tire Rubber Adhesion
The Radial Tire Industry has used Cobalt compounds for adhesion
promoters in wire coat compounds for more than 30 years, because
cobalt carboxylates add to the long term adhesion of rubber
to brass-coated steel. Heat and humid aged properties are
improved by the Cobalt mechanism.
Having worked with the tire Industry to develop an extensive
line of Cobalt Carboxylates for this application, Shepherd
Chemical is now a leader in the development and sale of these
materials. With plants in the USA and France, we are in position
to supply the global requirements of this industry.
Our full range of Cobalt Rubber Adhesion includes naphthenates
and stearates, as well as synthetic acid based
Products:
Cobalt Abietate
Cobalt Boro-Neodecanoate
CoMEND A
Cobalt Naphthenate
Cobalt Neodecanoate
