Tin
|
Tin is a silvery white ductile metal. It is mined primarily as the mineral cassiterite (SnO2).
Tin bonds readily to metals and is used in protective coatings to prevent corrosion such as in the manufacture of “tin cans”. Tin is also alloyed with other metals to form bronze and pewter. Tin salts can be sprayed onto surfaces to provide electrically conducting surfaces.
Shepherd has discontinued its manufacturing of tin compounds and offers alternative driers as replacement candidates. |
