Vanadium
|
Vanadium is a dark grey soft and ductile metal. Vanadium occurs in numerous (approx 65) ores in nature. Most vanadium reserves are located such that vanadium is a byproduct of co product with other minerals including iron, titanium, phosphate, and petroleum.
The predominant use of vanadium is in the manufacture of steel to produce strong shock resistant, corrosion resistant steel. Vanadium is also used as a catalyst in the manufacture of sulfuric acid and maleic anhydride.
Shepherd manufactures organic forms and inorganic solutions of vanadium. |
