Zinc

Zinc is a moderately silver metal which is easily malleable and occurs in numerous forms in nature. Commercial extraction is primarily in the form of sphalerite (ZnS).
Zinc is used extensively in galvanizing process in which articles are dipped in molten zinc for coating and protection. Zinc compounds are widely used particularly in personal care items such as deodorants, antibacterial, sunscreens, shampoos, and calamine lotions. As an industrial compound uses include plastics additives, batteries, and printing inks.
