Description
Manganese Nitrate Solution 50% is used in many industrial and agricultural applications. It is most commonly used in the manufacture of petrochemical cracking catalysts, automotive exhaust emission catalysts, and metal finishing.
Manganese is an important micronutrient for vibrant plant growth. It is taken up by plants in the Mn2+ form and in organically complex forms. Plant roots release exudates, such as low molecular weight organic acids that aid in manganese uptake from the soil. Within plants, manganese functions mostly as an activator in enzyme systems, but it is also a constituent of certain enzymes. It is essential to photosynthesis reactions and is involved in the evolution of oxygen in photosynthesis. The synthesis of lignin, which adds strength and stiffness to cell walls, is dependent on manganese. Manganese is also essential for root growth.
Metal phosphating surface treatments benefit when manganese is used in conjunction with nickel and zinc acid phosphate solutions. Manganese imparts a tough hardened surface that resists corrosion and wear.
Manganese nitrate solution is manufactured by dissolving manganese metal, oxide, or carbonate into nitric acid under strict chemical processing conditions. The solution exhibits a light red color in its final liquid state following the manufacturing process.
