GENERATING POSITIVE OUTCOMES USING

Pyrotechnic Generants

with unmatched product consistency and safety

Pyrotechnic Generants

Highly specialized pyrotechnic generants in the automotive industry provide lifesaving airbag technology for more than 5 million people involved in traffic
accidents each year. Shepherd has over 20 years of experience in developing and producing chemicals for the pyrotechnic generant space. We produce
over 8 million pounds of Basic Copper Nitrate each year to support reliable and consistent airbag inflation. Our Basic Copper Nitrate (BCN) is used as an
oxidizer in airbag generant formulations. It provides high gas output while maintaining consistent morphology and stability.

We are a global “partner of choice” for leading airbag manufacturers, providing unmatched product consistency, metal chemistry expertise, precision particle engineering, robust process development, collaboration and trusted confidentiality.
